A Reflection from the Heart – Why I Wrote the Timeless Wisdom Series
📜 The Ancient Question We Still Ask Today
In the book of Job, chapter 28, there’s a moment that feels like a pause—like Job is stepping out of the chaos of suffering and human opinion to ask a question that echoes through generations:
“But where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?” – Job 28:12 (NKJV)
Doesn’t that just hit home? In a world full of noise, opinions, and endless information—where do we actually find true wisdom? 🤔
🕳️ Wisdom Isn’t Mined Like Gold
“Man does not know its value, nor is it found in the land of the living.” – Job 28:13“The deep says, ‘It is not in me’; and the sea says, ‘It is not with me.’” – Job 28:14“It cannot be purchased for gold, nor can silver be weighed for its price.” – Job 28:15
This passage is breathtaking in how real it is. You can’t mine wisdom like you mine diamonds. 💎You can’t buy it like data bundles or download it like an app. It’s not in the sea, or the deep, or in the hands of the wealthy. True wisdom is rare… but not unreachable.
🌪️ When God Made the Storm, He Also Made a Way
Fast forward to verses 26–28, and something beautiful happens:
“When He made a law for the rain, and a path for the thunderbolt…” – Job 28:26“…Then He saw wisdom and declared it; He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out.” – Job 28:27“And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.’” – Job 28:28
✨ Boom. There it is.When God was laying out the paths for thunder and whispering orders to the rain, He didn’t forget about us. He preparedwisdom. He declared it. And then? He offered it.
The key isn’t cleverness, wealth, or status. The key is reverence. Awe. Respect for God. 🙏“The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom.”
📚 Why I Wrote Timeless Wisdom
I didn’t write the Timeless Wisdom series because I have all the answers. I wrote it because I’m on a journey—an intentional, prayer-soaked journey to seek, understand, and apply wisdom in a noisy, complicated world.
Each book—whether it’s a journal, guide, notebook, or devotional—is a response to Job’s question:“Where is wisdom found?”It’s found in the quiet places, the prayerful pages, the scriptures we meditate on, and the life we live with purpose. It’s in the pausing, the reflecting, the choosing to learn when we could just scroll.
This series is my way of inviting others to walk this wisdom road with me—one page, one prayer, one step at a time. 🕊️
🙏 A Short Prayer for Wisdom
Dear God,Please bring into my life what is necessary for me to understand wisdom, and remind me that it comes from You alone.Teach me to walk with awe and purpose,to live with reverence, and to choose understanding over assumption.Amen.
💛 If you're also asking, “Where is wisdom found?”... you're not alone.Let’s seek it together—with hearts open and spirits willing.
Until I write again, stay blessed. 🌸— Nomvula
