STIR A REVIVAL OF PRAYER

INTRODUCTION

In these times of chaos and uncertainty, it is essential to stir a revival of prayer. As Psalm 11:3 reminds us, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” 

We must turn to prayer, for it is the means by which we communicate with God and draw closer to Him. By engaging in prayer, we can experience the transformative power of prayer and witness revival in our own lives and in the world around us.

The biblical meaning of the verse “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3) is that the stability of society is threatened when its foundational values and principles are corrupted or destroyed. The righteous, or the people who uphold these values and principles, are left wondering what they can do in the face of such destruction. The verse highlights the importance of protecting the foundations of society, which are often rooted in God’s principles, and the crucial role that the righteous must play in preserving them.

Prayer has been a crucial element of revivals throughout history. In the Bible, we find numerous examples of God’s people crying out to Him in prayer, and revival would manifest as a result. By praying for revival, we are asking God

Chronicles 7:14, the Lord gives us a promise that if we humble ourselves, pray, and turn from our evil ways, He will

 revive and restore us and our churches. We want Him to stir up His people and draw them back to Himself. I
